5.0 out of 5 stars A great sequel to the Snow White story Nov. 28 2007
By Frances L. Arsenault TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
I have an Aunt Sharon, and she had this film on VHS, and I would watched it every time I visit her; after that it has become one of my favorite animated films. I had love both Snow White films : Disney's version and this one, and now, I have the film on DVD.

Like I said (a million times), I was shocked and surprised by the negative reviews I would see on the web, I thought it's a great sequel to the Snow White story by The Brothers Grimm, only instead of Seven Dwarfs there are Seven Dwarfelles in the film. I love the ending theme performed by Irene Cara, who also played the voice of Snow White in the film.

3.0 out of 5 stars I agree with Ashley S May 22 2004
Format:DVD
A lot of people hate this movie because they believe that the people who made it were trying to cash it in as a sequel to the Disney movie. However, I loved this movie because this time it showed Snow White saving the day, instead of the seven dwarves. I also loved the seven dwarfelles, because they were funny and original. I don't think I would've liked this movie all that much if the seven dwarves (not the Disney versions) were in it. This way we get to see some new characters and how they paly out in the story. I really don't care for the animation as well. Remember, this is before technology made animation better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ive Loved It Ever Since I Was Little April 20 2004
Format:DVD
So what if the graphics are kind of bad? I mean cmon! This movie was made over 10 years ago! When they didnt have top quality movies and such. But anyways! I love this movie, it has been one of my childhood favorites. Today I was searching for the song Thunderella sings cause i absoloutly adore it! And i come across this! Tons of people absoloutly hating it! I dont get why? I mean IT DID have a plot, a cute one too! The characters were original (cept maybe cinderella, but anywaysss) and the songs were fun to sing along to! So please dont listen to what those people say (cause they dont know a good movie even if it hit them in the face) and give it a try! Share it with your kids, parents, siblings, friends, everyone!

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Grief this is Awful!!!!!! March 23 2004
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
Oh my god.... this was the worst movie I've ever seen!!! along with the horrable animation, there was absolutely no plot whatsoever! It seems like the animators were half dead when they drew this, and it seems like the storywriters were just making up the story as they went along. I liked it when I was a kid, but when I had to watch it as a teen, I thought I would die!!! Okay, okay, lets just review the plot, shall we? Snow White & her prince are off to invite the 7 dwarfs to their wedding (it's already starting to die...),but oh no... the dead-wicked-queen's brother wants to avenge snow white & her prince for killing his sister. So he kidnaps Prince Charming in the form of a dragon. Snow White is so scared and soon meets the 7 Dwarfelles (oh joy...). They decide to seek help from Mother Nature, who is no help whatsoever but sends the 8 of them on to the (dum-dum-duumm-DDDUUUUUMMMM) realm of doom. You can see the movie if you really want to find out what happens to them...
Along with a atrocious plot, the characters are equally as bad (think...a surly owl, a pathetic bat, and Thunderella). If you like the characters, then you'll love the songs. Thunderella sings her "I need to shine like the sun" or whatever it was called song. It was Absolutely HORRABLE!!!
Please... If you want to be spared from a lifetime of horror,Don't, I repeat, Don't watch this movie!! If i could rate it lower, I would.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, come on! April 4 2006
By Jessie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
Come on, it's a good movie. Sure, Lord Malice is cookie-cuter to the extreme, but it's an animated children's fairy tale, what do you expect? I actually always thought that Malice was the most frightening of all of the Disney villians (even though this isn't Disney). I was dissapointed that the original seven dwarves were nowhere to be seen, but their female cousins are cute and likable enough, espescially Thunderella and Critterena. And I know everybody hates the music, but I actually thought it was pretty good, despite the cliched lyrics in some of the songs. And the Ed Anser-voiced owl Scowl was pretty funny. Overall this is a great movie and your kids will love it. Very underrated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Picks right up where the original story left off. July 25 2000
By S. A. Hanson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:VHS Tape
It is better to think of this as a sequal to the Grimms tale, not the Disney film. The Dwarfs are not in here only because Disney said no. But that's okay. Muddy, Sunburn, Critterina, Marina, Blossom, Noonbeam and Thunderella are just as good. Lord MALISS could very well be the brother of the unamed Wicked Queen. The soundtrack is one of the best that goes with film. I saw this when it first came out in 1993. I was seven or eight years old then. I really loved this film then and now. But I appreciate it more these days. The only slight quibble is that I saw a more pleasant Mother Nature in "The Year Without a Santa Clause".

5.0 out of 5 stars 1999 March 27 2005
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:VHS Tape
It was aproximatley 1999. The ocassional trip to the video store, to rent a couple shows to watch that night. This time there's nothing much to rent. 5 isles of garbage. We thought...

Then we came across this isle. We picked up this movie. Happily Ever After...Yeah whatever. We decided to take it. And what a good thing that was! It was the best show I have ever seen. Believe me when I say the best! Lord Maliss was a wonderful character...Snow white was very good! The Dwarfells rocked! And mother nature was an awesome edition to the show! Then all so quickly the seven days were up. Time to return the movies. And I never got to see that movie again...until now! 2004 Happily Ever After was released! With brand new cover art. But I don't like it as much as the old cover art. But anyway never juf=dge a movie by its cover. Snow white and the seven dwarves. Not better then Happily Ever After! Buy this! For 7.99 you can own the movie that I thought I would never see again! Buy at Wal-Mart or Best buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for kids March 15 2005
By Stacy Duncan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
I've seen reviews saying this movie might be a little scary for younger kids, and that is possible; it depends on the child. However, when I was little, this movie was a favorite. The video rental store at the place I lived in between kindergarten and second grade had a copy of Happily Ever After and my younger sister and I were constantly renting it to watch it over again. Keep in mind, we were seven and four, at the oldest. Even when we went back for a visit a few years later, probably when I was nine or ten, we rented it from the same video store to watch it in the hotel and with my dad's friend's little girls, who also enjoyed it thoroughly. Kids don't care about bad music or bad animation or bad acting. And this is a kid's movie. I loved it as a child. I'm now 18 and ordering it again for nostalgia purposes as I prepare to graduate from high school. It's just that memorable to me.
