I thoroughly enjoyed DAvid Granirer's book, The Happy Neurotic. He is right on about some of the new age courses out there and very wise in his advice and he made me laugh a lot

4.0 out of 5 stars art of the possible, Jan 15 2007

This book is not about perfection, complete success or transformation, or even total peace of mind. It is about imperfect beings coping in the real world, and it is full of common sense, insight and comedy. Most readers should recognise something of themselves in these pages - whatever their degree of neurosis.

The style is lively and reassuring. The author is obviously sharing his own experiences and discoveries, and proving that laughter is the best medicine.

5.0 out of 5 stars My thoughts on The Ha ppy Neurotic, Dec 7 2006

I have to say I really related to this book. I saw a lot of myself and my family in the descriptions. The more I read the more I laughed. For example the Myth of Perfection. That is my sister totally. Although I do believe my dad may have fallen victim to this myth as well to a point. He didn't think he had to be perfect--that just applied to the rest of us. As a result my sister is convinced she has to be perfect. As for me I revel in imperfection. I don't feel the need to be in control, I know I need others as a support thus not having to be in total control. This is a sanity saving revelation. I thank Mr. Grenirer for writing this book. It has helped me to be --well just me. I accept myself and my neuroses.
