HASH(0x9a116798) out of 5 stars WARNING.......You will laugh out loud!!! Excellent Book Jan. 22 2012

I have a warning for you. Be prepared to laugh out loud when you read this book! Seriously....I was reading this book on my Kindle Fire while I was working out at the gym and I was literally laughing out loud. People around me probably thought I was crazy (especially since I was also listening to music....I love that I can read and listen to music both on the fire).

The main character is Michelle, and James W. Lewis did an amazing job writing from a woman's point of view. I got to read about various men that she met and the problems that she was having with them. She was about ready to give up and decided she would finish her bachelors degree and eat better and exercise more. Then she met Daryl. He was perfect it seemed, but he just seemed to be taking things really slow. She was trying to figure him out. Finally he decided to tell her his big secret. Some secret it was too! What a shock!!

I'm telling you right this book! I don't remember the last time I actually laughed out loud while reading a book. There was NOTHING about this book that I didn't like. I liked every minute of it! I absolutely can't wait to read another book by James W. Lewis. Wait.....there is something I didn't like.....that it had to end! I highly, highly recommend this book! It's definitely a favorite of mine!

HASH(0x9a855fe4) out of 5 stars A half a star would be too much Dec 31 2011

This story was so juvenile. The language was stereotypical "sista" girl B.S.,ignorant, and even worse it wasn't funny at all. It was as if the author attempted to break the record for how many ebonic terms one can make up for the word "d*$K". I have always prided myself on finishing what I start so it's pretty pathetic writing when I skipped from 30% of mind numbing rhetoric to 80% of the book, and after finding out the ridiculous SECRET immediately deleted it from my Kindle. I'm no prude by far but this author was tacky and HIS interpretation of a black female was a joke. I wasn't looking for her to be a princess, but damn!! Her narration was sooo extra, and did I mention NOT FUNNY!This author has seen the last of my $2.99. I hope he puts it to good use and buys a thesaurus. He also might need to meet a more diverse group of african-american women. We're not all the same and that's whats so amazing about sister's!

HASH(0x9a8500c0) out of 5 stars I laughed 'til I cried. . . !!! June 14 2011

This book was/is the bomb! I had to be careful where I read it as there was always the possibility of me laughing out loud. . . no exaggeration. There was a huge grin on my face constantly with occasional erruptions of giggles. The story line was tight, true to life, engaging, unique, very entertaining, and may I also add sexy and romanitic as well. I was so disappointed when it came to an end. I will be keeping an eye on Mr. Lewis' future books.

HASH(0x9a84f96c) out of 5 stars Good Secrets Sept. 19 2011
By Teresa Beasley - Published on
Format: Paperback
Some secrets are good secrets but Michelle Larson, in A Hard Man Is Good To Find by James W. Lewis, does not want to wait to find out. Michelle has found Mr. Right, a man that has everything going for him. Daryl treats Michelle like a queen and it seems that he is ready to start a relationship. After dating for a while, Michelle believes things are going too slow and that Daryl is not giving his all in the relationship. Will Michelle give up on the relationship?

Daryl Jackson is a hopeless romantic, who is handsome and well educated. Daryl is ready to settle down but cannot because of a reoccurring problem. Daryl meets Michelle and believes she could be that special woman for him. Daryl has a secret and plans to reveal it to Michelle while on a romantic getaway. Will Michelle be receptive of Daryl's news?

A Hard Man Is Good To Find is a funny and entertaining book about having patience. Michelle is so hell bent on finding out what Daryl is keeping from her that he drives her crazy. Michelle's emotions are what make this book funny and interesting to read. I believe the author was creative in revealing Daryl's secret and it will shock readers. I recommend this book to others.

HASH(0x9a116d80) out of 5 stars Very Different Sept. 20 2011

This book was totaly different then the style of writing I'm used to. It was more conversational and used a lot of slang. It wasn't my cup of tea. But if you like the sista' girl kind of talk then this book is for you. I couldnt finish the book the writing was so bad.
