5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Card Deck! Feb 10 2009
By BJG - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
This is a great little card deck of crochet stitches and motifs. Of course, I love anything by Interweave Press, and this is no exception.

The set includes a card for each of 62 basic crochet stitches and 39 crochet motifs. The front of the card has a big, very clear picture of what the stitch fabric looks like and then the back of the card has the written pattern and a very clearly drawn diagram. The cards are numbered so they're easy to keep in order--which is nice because there's another card that has a list of all of the stitches and the corresponding card number.

Very neat little set. I'm glad I bought it, and I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stitch guide for a new crocheter Jun 11 2011
By Underground Crafter - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
This collection is a good starting point if you don't already have a substantial stitch guide collection.

The positive aspects of this stitch guide...
- The stitches are presented on cards and are, therefore, portable. You can just carry the stitch you are using with you and leave the rest at home.
- The stitch directions include both abbreviations and crochet symbols.
- The pictures are bright and clear.

On the other hand...
If you have as many crochet stitch guides as I do, you can be pretty hard to impress. There were few stitches in here that I didn't already have elsewhere in my collection. Also, some of the motifs looked like they could benefit from blocking.

If you are a relative newbie to crocheting (or at least to collecting crochet stitch guides), I would recommend this book. It is hard to beat the combination of portability and crochet symbols. On the other hand, if you already some stitch guides in your collection, you can definitely skip this one since there aren't a lot of very distinctive or new stitches included.

4.0 out of 5 stars 101 stitches to crochet Jan 6 2009
By Acey - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
As I am a novice at crocheting and looking through the cards I think I will be able to create most of the stitches. I was a little disappointed that there were not diagrams on actually making the stitches such as were to insert needle and so forth. Overall am satisfied with purchase.
