Everyone and their mother knows what these books are about so I won't review those. I will however let you know that I found this at a great price (almost half of what it was at the store) and it took less than 48 hours from when I ordered it to get to my front door. The case is beautiful, the novels themselves are great looking. I'm glad they're paperback as it makes them easier to transport and carry around individually. I'm sure I'll be reading them for years to come!

There are so many reviews that focus on the books content wise instead of this actual boxed set that I felt compelled to provide a useful description and review of this product! So first off, what do you actually get in this red box? The books are all hardcovers and cloth-bound. They all have the titles written in gold lettering and JK Rowling's signature in gold on each cover as well. Each cover has a small square coloured picture identical to the original children's illustrations that the book would have had. (It is Bloomsbury after all). The books are quite light despite being hardcovers and each book has a built in cloth bookmark and the page edges are all gold-gilted. All seven books are included. So far I am very pleased with the books. I flipped through and the letter size is good. (I have not read the books in this boxed set but I assume they are identical to the originals that I've read numerous times before.)
The box itself is to me the biggest disappointment. I felt Bloomsbury could have done better. It is sturdy enough but quite plain. The books are all listed at the back of the box in gold lettering and on both sides is a sketch of the Hogwarts Express in gold. Otherwise the box is what you see, cardboard covered in cloth. The red ribbon is cute but seems flimsy for such an expensive set.
The books themselves are quite beautiful though,which I believe is a must for a collector's boxed set. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for original children's artwork covers in a hardcover cloth edition.
I also received this set in a timely manner (within 2 weeks)and it was in excellent condition.

My First on-line purchase. Exactly what I ordered,safely bought and delivered within a week for free.
I'm one of the fortunate ones who saw all the Movies and am only now reading the books.The movies were perfect and now the books are sooo much more.More characters,more humour,more scary more everything and the dreams.Having the whole set lets me read what I want ,I cannot believe how crazy i would have gone waiting 7 years to get each piece.I got the movie set too so I watch after each book and really appreciate how much they missed.
