5.0 out of 5 stars masterpiece, Jan 23 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Harvest (Paperback)
Just brilliant novel, a portrait of the English countryside that is dark, tragic and unforgettable - and contemporary - about a teenage boy slowly being driven to the brink of madness and beyond by the pressures of a changing rural landscape and the indifference of nature - if you love Faulkner, Cormac McCarthy and especially Thomas Hardy you'll love this - England in the 1990s, but from a completely new perspective . . .
