Book Description

Mar 15 2010
Let's face it, today we are inundated with articles about cooking, food, and wine in almost every part of our lives. From The Wall Street Journal to Playboy Magazine, you'd be hard pressed not to find a commentary related to the subject of food. At a time when I'm trying to figure out my best financial opportunities or determine which girl of the SEC is the best looking, why am I being told how to cook something? The simple answer is women. Don't get me wrong, a quick glance at any men's magazine will always yield the same redundant taglines; "Lose your Gut," "1001 Financial Solutions," or "Score your Dream Job" on the cover. However, by now the majority of writers have exhausted the subjects of health, wealth, and power as a means to attract women, and they realize that cooking is just another avenue that they can use to appeal to the wants and needs of their readers. Don't trust me? Take a stroll through the magazine aisle at your local grocery store, and you might find that even Field and Stream has gone haute-cuisine on your latest hunt. Confused by the last sentence? Good, this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only Cookbook You'll Ever Need Oct 14 2009
By D. Perkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This cookbook is for the experienced chef to the absolutely clueless (myself) and everyone in between. My wife as been cooking since birth and I finally cooked my first 4 course meal using this guide and we both love it. If you have mastered the microwave and cereal is just not impressing like it used to, this is a very simple guide to transition into making elaborate meals with very simple step by step instructions. I have tried following instructions from other cookbooks in the past and they either over complicate the instructions with excessive details or use terminology Gordon Ramsey could not pronounce. Unlike other cookbooks, this one does have a detailed glossary for all cooking terms and clearly defines their meaning and how they are used in each dish. If you are an experienced cook, there are several meals with complexity to keep the challenge alive in your everyday cooking as well as special occasions. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to cook or those who never thought they could cook a delicious, elaborate meal simply and easily. You will not be disappointed!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The" How To" for Bachelors aspiring "Chick Magnet"Status Nov 19 2009
By Patricia A. Mccullough - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This simple, straight forward, cook book will soon be referred to by most single men as their " cooking bible" or as a sort of " Joy of Cooking" for bachelors.
It is filled with a wonderful mix of gourmet type recipes(nothing too terribly wierd) that are absolutely delicious and far easier to prepare than their name
would indicate. There are not a lot of expensive and difficult to find ingredients and the recipes are so easy to follow that bachelors may even find time
for some flirting, possible even a little foot massage, during prep time.
In addition to some new ideas ( Sauteed chicken w/asparagus, portobello's and tomatoes over spaghetti, or the Pasta Mediterranean),
there are some old favorites with a different slant( Bruschette w/feta cheese and Pan Seared Salmon w/Parmesan cream cheese
grits w/grilled okra) all easy enough for a 2nd grader(with oven supervision) to prepare. In addition, this chef is not afraid of using pre-packaged
supermarket ingredients, all in the name of saving time( remember the foot massages) and ease of preparation.

The book is filled with helpful hints about not only food preparation but there is also section pairing wines with specific dinners; dinners with
appetizers and/or salads, I mean, it would really be hard to go wrong here. Mr. Moore has thought of everything. The only thing the reader needs
to do is find a woman and get ready for the stampede.

By Ashley Perkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Love it! Definitely a fresh and creative cookbook for anyone who loves to be in the kitchen or is taking on the daunting task for the first time. The recipes are very clear and easy to follow and the end result is a fabulous meal! My husband has never cooked a meal in his life and was able to follow the recipes very easily and make something very impressive at the same time. I would HIGHLY recommend this cookbook for anyone, no matter your age or cooking skill level. It's definitely a must have for your collection. Enjoy!
