Review

"Any nurses who are interested in incorporating massage in their practice and would like to learn more about energy work will benefit from this book. Its well-organized approach will give the practitioner a more clear understanding of this healing modality." -- Kenneth B. Siegfried, BA (Pace University)

Introduces how to use the functions and tools of AutoDesk Inventor to create part and assembly models, document the designs with drawing views and automat the design process. Intended for use in a three-day or five-day course, the textbook progresses through the basics of sketching and placing features to the specific requirements of sheet metal design and weldments. The CD-ROM contains projects files for completing exercises. - SciTech Book News March 2003

Continuing the series designed to encourage nurses to use holistic and integrated approaches to healing people, two massage therapists explain how to give a fie-minute massage both to patients and to others in daily life. Most of the text concerns conceptual aspects rather than tactile techniques. - SciTech Book News March 2003

Product Description

A series of brief healing message routines highlight this book. It includes step-by-step and visual instructions for a one-minute foot massage, a three-minute should rub, plus short routines using lotion for back, shoulders, neck and feet. The focus is on massage scenarios that can be realistically incorporated into a nurse's busy schedule. The authors address the role that message can play in facilitating well-being and healing, and offer explanations for the links between thoughts, feelings and stress, and how they affect body tension. Massage is discussed for patients with a variety of health conditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Healing Massage: A Simple Approach for Nurses, Dec 31 2002
By
Robert E. Cantrell (McKinleyville, California United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Healing Massage: A Simple Approach (Paperback)
This is the best illustrated and best step by step instructions for administering healing massage, in the brief time afforded by overworked nurses, that I have ever seen. I am professionally trained in Massage, but my sessions last from 45 minutes to two hours! I have always hoped that someone would finally be able to provide training for brief but highly effective techniges that could be applied right in hospitals, where it is most needed! These authors have done just that! I highly recommend this book!
