5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a collection of the best of David R Bunch's poetry, Jun 2 2009

This review is from: The Heartacher and the Warehouseman (Paperback)
This is vintage Bunch at his best as well as some new works. It is his last work. It was published the year of his death. This prolific author wrote mainly Science Fiction and was best known for his short stories in the little mags of the 50's and 60's such as Amazing, Fantastic, and the like. He then published two other books, Moderan and BUNCH as well as continuing to publish short stories and poetry. This author is not an easy read but he is well worth the effort. This book contains some real gems such as "We Have a Nervous Job". "I Keep Listening" is a personal favorite that I have committed to memory without even trying."Headlines By the Dozens" is an example of Bunch's wry sense of humor. "Eight-Floor-Balcony-Porch Sunflowers-After Night"is an example of Bunch's rare poignancy. This is an original edition which to my knowledge is no longer in print. If you are a fan of David R Bunch you will love this rare final work. If you are new to the author, he is worth the read!
