This is another Canadian series that deserves to be known and watched. I have no idea if this is airing in the US, and I am a bit ashamed that as a Canadian, I only learned of its existence recently! I immediately bought this DVD set, as I love horseback riding.

This series is a good drama that does not go overboard. It seems to be targeted to a teenager audience on the surface, but I found it very enjoyable even for adults since the main characters do span 3 generations (and the stories are not exclusively about stereotypical teenager girls). The Alberta scenery is also fabulous and a great settings for this story. Eagerly awaiting the release of the second half of the first season!

What can I say except this was worth waiting for. I'm watching the season 3 opener on the television right now. This is one of the best series ever done. I live in Bellingham, Washington state and get to watch it from the Vancouver, B.C. station. These are just as much fun to watch the second time around as they were the first time. And I plan on watching them many times yet. The sound is crisp and the scenery is awesome with stunning photography. The characters grow on you and become like family. "Heartland" is a treasure.
