Set against the stunning vistas of the Alberta Rocky Mountains, Heartland is a sprawling family drama that follows sisters Amy and Lou Fleming and their grandfather, Jack, through the highs and lows of life on a horse ranch.
At the end of Season Three, dreams and opportunities pushed everyone in different directions. Amy went on the Ring of Fire tour, Ty hit the road to see a bit of the world, Lou moved to Dubai to start a new life with her husband, Peter and Tim chased big money on the California horse racing circuit.
In Season Four, people drift back to Heartland, craving the familiarity of home and family only to discover that everything seems to have changed. After the blush of first love in Season Three, Ty and Amy’s relationship may blossom and mature, but only if they face up to a misunderstanding about what happened while they were apart. Lou is torn between her new life in Dubai and home. She’s still madly in love with Peter but Dubai is not an easy place to live and she’s intensely homesick. Tim will return with substantial winnings and a new love interest. As always, Jack remains the rock of Heartland, tirelessly keeping the family together through thick and thin.
Heartland continues to be a sprawling multi-generational saga about a family getting through life together in both happy and trying times. The series tells real stories about real people, people who the audience has grown to love and welcome into their homes. It takes a realistic, edgy and humorous approach to its stories with a balance of comedy and drama, adventure and romance, all against the glorious backdrop and stunning vistas of the foothills of Alberta.
A great series that is made in Canada. Definitely for those who love horses, but everyone can enjoy this great show.Published 5 months ago by Luv2Shop
This TV show is excellent! When ordering the DVDs, make sure to get the Canadian version--NOT the version from the American station. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Cheryl
