Great book, April 21 2006

I loved the story, Heart of Erin by Bonnie K. Winn, in this collection. She gave a wonderful insight into the beginning of our tradition of sending Valentine's cards and greeting cards in general in this country by setting this into the background of a fabulous romance. I loved the unusual setting -- at least unusual in the world of nineteenth century American historicals -- New York City with its first elevators, the omnibuses. The background detail was rich without being intrusive. I literally could not put the book down until I'd finished this story.
