Faith at the crossroads
This is the final book in what became a 12-book series. In this final book, Sam Vance's partner, Becca, is allowed to be the one to help wrap everything up. The hero in the story is Quinn Montgomery who played a big part in an earlier book in this series. Sam lost a fiancee who was a cop and didn't plan to ever date another cop again - but then that's what romances are made of!
Everything was wrapped up nicely. Though I don't think a ruthless killer like Escalante would waste so much time in killing the families he hates, and though I didn't agree with the way the her hostage situation happened, it was still a nice idea for a story - just not for someone like Esclante...
The romance was sweet. We had a few pretty hot kisses (exploring her mouth) and some tense situations. Though this book seemed to drag in a few places, I still thought it was a nice wrap up to the series.
Oh, by the way, I was disappointed there weren't more hysterical parents in one part of the story...just a thought!
