5.0 out of 5 stars Deep breath, don't cry, it was good while it lasted. Oct. 15 2013

Catching up on this series. Didn't realize that it was published in 2007, but I'm very happy that Amazon has made it available for the ones that are just now informed of the series!
Love this book, and the series. Not much of a description was available so it felt like a risk, but I read some of the other books in the series so knew this book would be good.
Someone trying to kill two families, but who and why? A Hostage Negotiator/Police Detective and a Construction owner/manager come together to try and solve the mystery while going about their daily life, work and family. Good dose of suspense, suspicion, and seclusion all brought together for the Great final installment to the series!

Faith at the crossroads
Book 6

This is the final book in what became a 12-book series. In this final book, Sam Vance's partner, Becca, is allowed to be the one to help wrap everything up. The hero in the story is Quinn Montgomery who played a big part in an earlier book in this series. Sam lost a fiancee who was a cop and didn't plan to ever date another cop again - but then that's what romances are made of!

Everything was wrapped up nicely. Though I don't think a ruthless killer like Escalante would waste so much time in killing the families he hates, and though I didn't agree with the way the her hostage situation happened, it was still a nice idea for a story - just not for someone like Esclante...

The romance was sweet. We had a few pretty hot kisses (exploring her mouth) and some tense situations. Though this book seemed to drag in a few places, I still thought it was a nice wrap up to the series.

Oh, by the way, I was disappointed there weren't more hysterical parents in one part of the story...just a thought!
