HEARTSONG - Debbie Macomber
Skye Garvin's voice sang the words that came straight from her
heart. Whether singing to the patients at a local hospital or
teaching her students at school, Skye tried to touch everyone
she met with a spark of joy.
Her enthusiasm was always contagious -- until she met Jordan
Kiley, a successful record producer and temporarily a patient
at the hospital. Was he really immune to Skye's charms, or was
there another reason for the suspicion she read in his steely
gray gaze? Skye believed in miracles, but never before had she
faced a challenge as handsome and perplexing as Jordan Kiley.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light reading May 8 2013

Debbie Macomber stories are always sure to please, being so down to earth, and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling, and this book is no exception. The plot was very interesting - keeping up the suspense, and the characters realistic. I have read several of this author's books, and will keep on reading them.

I enjoyed the book to some degree, but she has written better books. The ending was interesting, not sure what to expect.

Light, easy reading. Good vacation book. The events were rather predictable but with enough twist to encourage further reading. Enjoyable and light.

1.0 out of 5 stars disapointed in heartsong Jan. 31 2013
By Beth - Published on Amazon.com

I love reading all of Debbie's books. This one was disapointing. I am not into reading about religion. This was filled with it. If I had known I would not have purchased this book. There isn't any mention of religion in the description. I hope my next purchase is rewarding :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected Jan. 30 2013
By Brenda - Published on Amazon.com

I love Debbie's books, so when I saw that I could pre-order I didn't hesitate. Although I found the story to be entertaining, I felt it to be way to preachy. Not a bad thing if that was what you were expecting.

3.0 out of 5 stars Usual Macomber book but heavy-handed religion Feb. 7 2013
By Bette - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have always enjoyed Debbie Macomber's books, especially the Cedar Cove series. This story was good but this was just TOO heavy-handed with the religion. The male characters conversion was also too quick to be believable. This book would have been better classified as Christian fiction. I know there was a brief mention of "difference of faith" in the blurb but I wish it had been more clear on just how much preaching was involved.
