4.0 out of 5 stars Hot indeed, July 2 2011

3 stars - Summer Fever
This story was ok. You could tell Nina and Ian were in lust with each other but I didnt really feel the passion between them. The love scenes were just so so, and the ending was just so sudden. Ian comes to his senses 5weeks after they departed each other, proclaims his love and Nina reciprocates with no mention of love b4 the last page and a half of the book. This was probably the weakest story of the three, I am guessing this is why it was first.

5 stars - One Hot Summer
I didn't want the story to end, and it really kept me guessing. I didn't think Love would get with Maleek no matter how she felt because of what happens with her ex. It seemed like she was really gun ho about not repeating the past. That Maleek really wore her down though. It's nothing like a romantic beefcake of a man wooing you to change your mind, and the super hot and steamy sex helps as well! The total shocker was Tashi, that was totally unexpected twist to the story. Overall the story was execellant, I wished it was longer! Ms. Bryant truly is a talented storyteller.

5 stars - To Hot To Handle
Super hot from the very begining. Trey & Choice were stuck in a pitch black elevator and went for it. They were hot and heavy and brought back to reality when the lights came on. They of course had their obstacles especially a jealous ex who wanted Choice back, and would do whatever it took to get her back. Trey and Choice had some steamy sex scenes, in her studio against a wall, and later on the couch, and of course recreating their initial meeting and getting it on in an elevator. I haven't read a bad story from Zuri Day yet, and can't wait to read more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Santa in July...., July 8 2011

Think it's hot on the beach? Well, read this scorching triple play and things get hotter!!!

Donna Hill does an excellent job with Summer Fever... I felt the sand between my toes on this one! Mz. Hill takes you to the Hamptons on a sexy wave!

Niobia Bryant's One Hot Summer reminds me of my summers on the rooftops in NYC...Wonderful!

Zuri Day makes an elevator ride unforgettable!

I don't want to give the plot(S) away, I just know that Santa came early this year... in fact, so did I! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Reasons I love Short Stories, Mar 28 2012
By Tanisha Brame "BRAB Online Book Club" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Heat Wave (Mass Market Paperback)
I love reading short stories. The romance comes fast, the tension is tight and the sex scenes truly blazing. Heat Wave delivered in these areas.

Like always Donna Hill did a great job creating two characters that you root for. You wish for them to be together. The sexy neighbor Ian and the smitten teacher Nina worked magic together. My favorite part of the story was the storm. Everyone needs someone to count on and in a way Nina knew that no one would save her like Ian. If that doesn't prove that a man loves you I just don't know what would.

One Hot Summer by Ms. Bryant, took too long for me. I love her stories but sometimes the set up of the story takes away from the heat of the romance. Then there was the scene where her ex bumps into her at a wedding. I just didn't believe that he would leave, just like that for her. I mean if he was so considerate of her feelings in the first place why did they get a divorce? I pulled for Love and Maleek to get together but my passion for them was slow because of my thoughts of what happened between her and her ex. Too much background data.

Too Hot To Handle was exactly that hot....Ms. Day did a sizzling job in this story. I was in the elevator, hot as the sun and feeling the connection between Trey and Choice. Love the name Choice and she certainly was his choice. The story was compelling and could easily have been a full book because of the dynamic of where he worked, who her father was and then the whole love triangles (yes more than one) at the office...well told story, easy to read and super easy to fall in love with. Secretly wishing for an evening trapped in an elevator with someone who exudes sex appeal like Trey!
