Book Description

July 1 2007
Heaven Sent: Heaven Desperate to save his family's hotel, the Weiss Strande, Tyler and his best friend sink their hopes and what's left of their money into a new venture: a nightclub at the hotel. The White Room must succeed, or the hotel will go under. Against all hope, they manage to sign the mega-popular rock group Heaven Sent to play the grand opening. Already a huge fan of the group, Tyler couldn't be more excited to welcome them to his hotel. He's not at all prepared for the bomb of lust that hits him when he's finally face-to-face with the painfully gorgeous lead singer, Johnnie Heaven. Johnnie's probably the most beautiful person he's ever seen, but Tyler is straight. He's feeling a misguided form of hero worship, right? When Johnnie invites Tyler to his room to play video games, their shared passion, Tyler jumps at the chance. He and Johnnie have a great time with the games, but Tyler soon discovers that Johnnie aims to introduce Tyler to a whole new level of game play... Heaven Sent: Purgatory Lucas Sloane defines beautiful for Reese. Tall and sleek with gorgeous red hair and deep, dark eyes to drown in, it's no wonder that the famous bass player of Heaven Sent is the hero of many a starry-eyed teenager's dreams. Reese used to be one of those teens back when Heaven Sent was no more than the house band for the local club, Purgatory. Back then, Reese found the courage to confess his love to Luc...only to be soundly rejected. Luc wasn't gay. Not long after, Heaven Sent left town and skyrocketed into rock and roll stardom. Now, six years later, Luc is back in town for a visit and more gorgeous than ever. Surprisingly, he not only apologizes for his treatment of Reese years ago, he comes onto him. Luc's discovered the pleasures of being with a man and wants to know what it'd be like between the two of them. But Reese can't. He lives the straight and narrow, teaches high school...he's even got a girlfriend. He has a normal life. He can't be gay. But it's hard to deny the man who's defined everything beautiful in Reese's artistic mind. No one has to know about it, right? Publisher's Note: This book is a male-male love story and contains homoerotic sex acts that may be offensive to some readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this series! Very glad to have this finally in print! Sep 9 2007

Where have I been! I just found this available in Amazon and of course ordered it immediately. Johnnie and Luc are my favorite characters in this group of pop stars and I am very glad to have their stories in one print book. About time, Loose-id!

Heaven Sent is a famous group of 4 pop stars. This series consisting of 4 books focus on each musician finding the man of his life, eventhough they started off as bi-sexual or straight. As commented by Elisa, Yaoi flavor is quite heavy in this series and this is the very reason I enjoy it so much. Johnnie's and Luc's stories titled Heaven and Purgatory respectively are my favorites and these 2 gorgeous guys with their long hair are just so sexy. Jet Mykles has done a marvelous job developing this series. It is fun, sexy, hot, angst filled, engaging and pure indulgence. If you like your M/M with a Yaoi flavor, do not miss this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavenly! Nov 11 2008

Format:Paperback
Heaven is the 1st in a Yaoi inspired series called Heaven Sent by Jet Mykles. The covers of the series have all been done by PL Nunn and are gorgeous. They were part of the reason I was initially drawn to the books and are some of the 1st m/m books that I've read. An excellent start!!

When Tyler's family hotel business gets into some financial difficulty he and his friends decide to open a nightclub at the hotel. His father is terribly ill and the pressure is mounting to make the hotel a success. To open the new club Tyler extends an invite the popular band Heaven Sent to play.

Tyler is a huge fan of the band and when he gets over his initial moments of being star struck he strikes up a friendship with Johnnie, the lead singer. They spend time playing video games together in the evenings and Tyler starts to feel more than friendship for the magnetic singer. Having just recently split up from his fiancé, he finds his feelings confusing because he's is straight... Johnnie is a sexy and intense man and he wants Tyler and lets him know it on no uncertain terms. He is not easily dissuaded by Tyler's initial nervousness about the situation and he goes after what he wants.

This was one of my first m/m romances and I just loved it. Johnnie is so into the gorgeous Tyler from the start, and I loved the tension of him trying to seduce Tyler with stolen kisses and some hot foreplay. He is a forceful character and very single minded in what he wants. Tyler is softer and just a little bit confused about having feelings for another guy and he worries about how a rock star like Johnnie could really want to spend time with someone like him. He is sweet and a perfect foil for Johnnies magnetic sexuality. I really enjoyed the romance in this story it was loving, hot and so very satisfying. You're also introduced to the rest of the band and the glimpses into who they are make you drool just a bit for their story!

I fell for Reese right away. 6 years before he was laying his heart on the table only to have Luc push him away. Crushed, he has put everything he ever was away and tried to fit himself into a resemblance of what he thinks he should be.

Aww, I love the whole wounded and not admitting it hero. He is so sweet and just a tad repressed, you just want to muss his hair. Luc, in the meantime, just leaves him hanging and swans off to fame and stardom. Bad man.

Luc is arrogant, demanding and I just loved him as a character. He knows what he wants and is determined to get it at all costs. He is such a hottie and and I thought the red hair a particularly nice touch! In the past 6 years he has become more comfortable with his sexuality and wants that elusive one that got away, well, that he pushed away. Luc comes back and is surprised to find the former blue haired Reece is now a very buttoned down teacher who has given up his art. Intent on undoing a few of those buttons and shaking Reece up a bit, Luc is so the man for the job. Butter and bagels, oh my!

The ending was well done also, less of a immediate HEA and more of Reece beginning to be who he was meant to be. I was going to say *he found himself through exploring his innermost self* but it sounded kinda pervy...heh.

After reading Man Love Monday last night, I decided to do yet another re read of this book. 3rd time I think and every time is just as good as the last. I really like this series and I think the books as a whole all compliment each other really well. Gorgeous, smexy goodness that you must read! I also noted that you can get the books in print with the PL Nunn covers at Amazon and Loose id. Gorgeous!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh my gosh!!!! Oct 31 2007

Oh my gosh, this was like the best book I've read so far. I had seen the e-book format before and was not really interested in it, but our of curiosity when it got published I bought it. I have read it like 10 times. I totally recomend it. I went directly and bought the other two stories in e-format. I hope Jet publishes the other two stories in the same manner. Read it, if you don't you will be sorry. It was tastefully done, funny and romantic at the same time. A great book you might want to keep in your collection.
