I wore this one out on vinyl and cassette... simply a masterpiece. Some of the most haunting and heartfelt songwriting and playing anywhere. Highly recommended.

I decided to write review because the current reviews don't actually say much other than "I love it". I bought this CD to replace an old cassette tape and am really pleased I did. If the idea of "old-fashioned" symthesisers leaves you cold then please try to get a listen to this rather than following a prejudice. If you like floating jazzy ambint music you'll probably like this although the mood of each piece does vary quite a bit from spacy ambient to almost poppy psychedlic tunes with a beat to them. It is held together by a style that is in some ways simple and yet captivating while the arrangements are clever and well thought out without being over-complex. This is a composer who knows when to stop adding extra textures. As the sleeve notes say, this music is what Richard Souther plays for his own entertainment and expression. It is not contrived or aimed at some particular market. It is relaxing, uplifting, spiritual and warming. It is surprising how much warmth Richard Souther has imbued into his synth playing. A glorious way to spend 40 minutes - just lie back and float in it.

One of my first new-age albums bought some 18 years ago, I still enjoy the record. Excellent sound and very well produced. A must have for keyboard players.
