this is a great book if you want to understand the basics of how helicopters fly, and a somewhat detailed breakdown of popular aircraft circa 1980. This book may be a little old but a lot of the info is great. If you are starting a carree in this field, especially the militray, this is a good way to gain some prior knowledge on what you will be learning.
