It's about time Hell froze over

This is something many classic rock fans dreamed about for many years--the reunion of the Eagles. Then, finally, in 1994, it happened, and the result is this spectacular album(along with the DVD of the same title). The sound is absolutely fantastic, and the band is very impressive, definitely at the top of their game.
Most of the classics you and I have heard on the radio for so many years are present here, many performed with a little bit of extra kick that makes you remember why the Eagles were such a rockin' band in the first place. The version of "Hotel California" is breathtaking, "Take it Easy" rocks like no tomorrow, and "Tequila Sunrise" makes you tap your foot in spite of yourself. There are also four new songs (along with one solo song of Don Henley's), all of which are great.
I bought the CD when it came out in '94, and am only now experiencing the DVD version. Both are great, and the DVD even has two songs that the CD doesn't. This is an album no Eagles fan should be without, and also one that will be an essential part of any Classic Rocker's collection. The Eagles still have it!

Eagles is in topnotch shape in this '94 -concert. Nicely done, good, old familiar songs. What's not to love?
My favourite thing about this CD is it's very good sound, you actually could forget the "live" -part if the audience wouldn't cheer at the beginning and end of the songs. They also applaude when the riff in "Hotel California" starts.
Hotel California is one of my fave's here. Extended beginning and end are wonderful.
I also like that they included Henley's "New York Minute" in the set. It fits there perfectly and is a good song.
The four new one's, studio recordings are great songs and deserve to be there. Like them very much.
Overall, this is essential to all Eagle-fans and fans of excellent live-recordings.
Newcomers make a very good choice with this, too; it is a "greatest hits" of some sort and gives you material not found on studio albums.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, GO FOR IT!

I began paying attention to the Eagles approximately 4 years ago,
due to Don Henley's solo CD. Loved it so much, that I decided
to purchase the Eagles Hell Freezes Over DVD, after reading
reviews of the DVD. I have not regretted purchasing this DVD.
In fact, I intend to purchase a duplicate copy, since this is the
only DVD that I constantly play over & over. Can't wait for
another Eagles concert on DVD. This DVD is a must have and
one that you will certainly treasure!

Personaly, I dont like live albums or cuts. The sound of the clapping and the whistles halfway through the song get to me. Read more
