Product Description

Product Description

FBI Agents Cameron Ross and Andrea Sullivan found the unexpected when they met amongst the warm red rocks and cliffs of Sedona—each other. That commitment, along with their ingenuity, courage and resolve, will be tested along the most barren of stretches in California’s Mojave Desert.

Someone is using the bleak highways to dump women’s bodies, but in a landscape where an inviting road can curve into a sand-choked mirage, and a true oasis can be invisible under a white-hot sun, clues can blow away in the wind.

In this sequel to Devil’s Rock, Gerri Hill pits two remarkable women against the harsh and bitter desert and an implacable killer.

About the Author

Gerri Hill lives in East Texas, deep in the pines, with her partner, Diane. They share their log cabin and adjoining five acres with two Australia Shepherds, Casey and Cooper, and a handful of furry felines. Her books include Hunter’s Way, Behind the Pine Curtain, and No Strings to name a few.

3.0 out of 5 stars Over The Top, Dec 27 2011
By Carol L. Iingraham - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Hell's Highway (Paperback)
This was a good team effort, but it was just too much. Yes, the ladies were lovers, but this can't keep your hands to yourself while working is something that would NOT be done by the FBI people. I really like Gerrie Hill's books, the thought the first one was better written, and the second in this series was "way-over-the- hill". too many bodies, way to much gore etc.

This was a book from a friend and I don't knonw that I would have read it if I had seen a review before hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Follow up to Devil's Rock, Jan 9 2012
By Carol A. Bailey "Cab" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Hell's Highway (Paperback)
I didn't think it was possible but I liked this book even more than the first, "Devil's Rock". Agent Cameron Ross feels more real in this story. The character has smoothed out a bit. That's not to say that the character is not edgy and interesting, but more along the lines that her personality is more well rounded. My guess is that is a direct reflection of the relationship between the two characters Cameron Ross and Andrea Sullivan. As the reader I was completely absorbed in their search for the serial killer and what would happen next.
I can only hope that this turns into a full blown series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, April 30 2012

If you are looking for a book that is fun, exciting and hot then this if for you. If you are looking for a really serious, realistic book then maybe this is not for you. The characters are likable, fun, and the story is actually entertaining, I couldn't put it down because the story-line was good. Would it happen in real life? Who knows, probably not, but its fun to read. If you want realistic then read true crime. If you want fun, bad-ass lesbians, hunting down a serial killer with a team of highly trained ex-military while still finding the time to cultivate their relationship, have hot sex, and navigate the difficulties of working and living together then read the book and enjoy it for what it is...fiction!
