Definitely Uncensored, Definitely Entertaining ((but NO CC or subtitles))

First 4 Seasons of Hell's Kitchen in one package! Bright Collector's tin with 2 Seasons per case inside. A little cookbook of some S3&S4 dishes made in HK. Also has a nifty HK apron. (I did buy thru Marketplace so mine did not have an apron, but it was still well worth the purchase!)
Those who 'joined' HK in the latter seasons (like I did) will enjoy seeing it from the start - and be glad at the tweaks and upgrades made in the show's format, environment, challenges, and even with the contestants (!!) as the seasons progress.
Raw & Uncensored - if you are offended by frequent uses of curse words and nasty comments this is definitely not for you - but let's face it - if you love the show on network TV you'll like it even better without all those bleeps!
The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 and not a perfect score is that there are no subtitles nor is there closed-captioning on the discs. I have watched TV/movies with CC for many years now (started doing so in 'support' of a deaf family member) so I was still able to totally enjoy these shows....and yes, I watch HK on TV with the CC on! However, those who are deaf or are greatly hearing-impared will not be aware of any of the narration nor follow 'background' comments/conversations that are also prominent in these episodes.
...just to mention, all the discs played perfectly/properly, with none of the problems I had read some people had with individual season release discs!...

This is the first four seasons uncensored. There are also little extra bits at the end of some of the shows. There are some nice extras like interviews with the contestants and a tour of the restaurant.
The tin is actually not that bad and the DVDs are in two unmarked cases - one black, one clear, which puzzles me a bit, but I'm not one who really cares about the packaging as long as the content is good. The apron is pretty nice, but I doubt I will use the recipe book.

You get what you pay for

As a fairly cheap way to buy the first four seasons of Hell's Kitchen, this gets the job done. You get the same 13 discs released separately for roughly (as of this writing) $20 off. However, if you're buying this for the packaging or the pack-ins, I wouldn't recommend it. The tin the discs come in looks fairly cheaply made, and I can't imagine ever using the recipe booklet or apron. The discs themselves come in two completely un-labeled multi-disc cases, seasons one and two in one case, and seasons three and four in the other. This looks like a well-made bootleg. (It isn't, it's just not super-attractive.) I think the four separate seasons would have looked better on my shelf than the tin. If these are sacrifices you're willing to make to save $20, then, as you're getting the same content, by all means, go for it. But if you're picky about how your DVDs look (like I usually am,) or if you already have one or more of the seasons, this isn't worth your money.

I really enjoyed watching Hell's Kitchen seasons 1-4. The DVDs come in a tin container with clear DVD cases which look kind of cheap, and you get a cheap apron and cookbook, but the whole point of this review is about the show. The episodes are unedited so you can get a better understanding of what was really being said throughout the show (unlike TV where all you hear is BEEP). I found the show suspenseful and funny. The contestants are very entering as well. In all if you like reality game shows you will love Hell's Kitchen.
