What a wonderful, sweet fairy tale!
This is the fifth book in the Tiny Blessings series and excellent!!!
I can not even begin to imagine giving a child you gave birth to up for adoption. Nor can I imagine finding that child purely by accident seven years later and having to pretend that I am her nanny...Well, that's exactly what happened to Leah. I liked how she handled this situation with respect and maturity. I don't know that I would behaved the same way...
On the other hand, my heart reached out for Ben as well. Ben adopted his little girl when she was a baby then lost his wife a couple months later. Olivia was all the family he had (minus his parents and brother), and she was very close to him. As a single parent of an only child, I can relate. I seem to hold him a little closer and fear anyone or anything that could come between us. That's what Ben had. So his reaction upon learning the truth was very understandable. As a parent feeling threatened by the one precious thing in your life, you would survive any way you can!
Christmas morning was so very sweet. I couldn't help crying as Olivia "unwrapped" her Christmas present! What a sweet, sweet story that could only happen in a book!!!
And the sub-plot thickens...
On the other announcement that was made at the end of book two (I think), it's finally revealed in this book, though I think it's a little late in coming. I think Meg would have told her friends months ago since she had known about it then...but then maybe I'm reading too much into this.
