******SPOILER: STORY IN ONE PARAGRAPH*********
Hidden Mistress, Public Wife: in a nutshell, is about Ivy Thornton, daughter of Sacha Thornton. This heroine is owner of a rose farm who tends to send out rose orders to billionaire, Jordan Powell's, ex-current mistresses. The plot takes a turn for the cliched when, at an art gallery showing for her mother, Jordan spots Ivy and becomes intrigued, leading to the dismissal of his latest mistress, and his red-hot pursuit of Ivy for the position of mistress. Although they fall into lust and end up doing the nasty with one another after their first date (classy! NOT), Ivy resists and insists that she's not interested in becoming another mistress. Faced with not getting what he wants, Jordan basically proposed marriage to her in hopes of keeping her in his life. To add further drama to a horrible plot, the author also decides to add in a villain disguised as Ivy's "REAL" father within the last 10 pages of the book. Not only was it rushed, cliched, and poorly developed, but the downer was that I actually finished reading the book when I should have stopped after the main characters banged each other after ONE DATE. UGH.
