Wonderful book for anyone who struggles with ADHD Sept. 24 2010
By MARIE ODOM - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Perfect Paperback
My health practioner loaned me this book today, because I struggle with ADHD, and she thought I might be able to relate to the author, Kim Gay. I sat down to read, and just couldnt put it down. I really felt like Kim had wrote my life story for me. This book details exactly what it is like to live with ADHD, without making any of the usual excuses. It also compassionately describes the heartbreak that we feel when we know we are not living up to our full potential. This book definately gets two thumbs up!

Great short book with alot of insight into understanding ADHD.
I bought it to help me learn more so that I could hopefully "get along better" with a friend
with ADHD. UNDERSTANDING what it's like living with ADHD from his viewpoint helps ME.
Therefore, our relationship benefits.

In HIDING AN ELEPHANT, Kim A. Gay gives readers wonderful insight into the problem and the strengths of people who have ADHD. She elegantly and seamlessly combines personal experience with research information in this well-written and helpful book. It definitely has a permanent place on my bookshelves as a handy reference.
Review for hiding an elephant Sept. 11 2011

Having just found out at 42 years old that I've had adhd all of my life, this book was a joy to read. There's not a lot of books out there for adults to read about adult adhd. This book was actually very refreshing and made me feel not so alone in my adhd and all the problems that come along with it. I recommend it to anyone with adhd.
