5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Joan Wolf, Jun 22 2004

This review is from: Highland Sunset (Paperback)
This is the love story of an English Protestant earl and a Scottish Jacobite, set against the disastrous attempt to put Charles Stuart back on the throne.

Disastrous for the highlands, that is. This book has romance, tragedy, and history. The conflict that keeps the hero and heroine apart is not petty or contrived. Vanessa MacIain must choose between her family and what she perceives as her rightful king and the one man in the world she is meant to love.
