Death of a Franchise,
By
This review is from: Highlander 5: The Source (DVD)
If, like me, you were a fan of the Highlander franchise, especially the TV Series, I strongly urge you to skip this film. Not only does it completely and utterly destroy the franchise (really) but it's got to be, and I use this phrase lightly, "one of the worst films I've ever seen." I worked for 10 years in independant film production, on some of the worst Sci-fi and horror B films known to man and yet I find myself with nothing positive to say about Highlander: The Source except for the last 5 minutes. The film has the feel of a horrible direct to video production that was shot entirely by an out of work music video director, the score is _even worse_. There really are no redeeming qualities about this film.

A sad end to a legend,
This review is from: Highlander 5: The Source (DVD)
I've been a huge fan of the franchise for years and own the entire television series as well as the original movie and Highlander Endgame. So when I saw this movie I purchased it right away. After viewing it I walked over to the garbage and tossed it in. I would advise anyone who is a fan of the series to stay away from this film. It just bloody awful. There is no point in wasting any time analyzing the flaws. Just stay away.

This review is from: Highlander 5: The Source (DVD)
This movie is a horrible way to tie off the franchise. The plot is incredibly sketchy and contrived (not to mention lacking of sense) that you end up feeling like you've missed the first half of the film. The acting is equally horrible to the point where it seems like even the actors didn't know what they were supposed to be doing most of the time. Overall, this seems more like an amateur project a bunch of friends would put together to post online and doesn't even measure up to the low standards you'd expect from a direct-to-DVD film.
