Thanks to Critical Mass & Anchor Bay Canada fans are once again treated to another installment of "The Hilarious House of Frightenstein" on DVD. This time around fans will be subjected to horrific stories of mystery, mayhem and the macabre from Castle Frightenstein's resident bookworm and story teller the "Librarian".

For those of you not keeping track at home, this is the third compilation DVD release from Critical Mass/ Anchor Bay Canada based on the wacky & weird characters from the 1970's cult classic "Hilarious House of Frightenstein" starring the one and only Billy Van. The single sided disc is coded region 1 and it runs approximately 65 minutes. The picture is presented in full screen color and once again it's divided into six chapters. There is a play all feature and a chapter selection feature included if you want to skip to the next chapter. The disc packaging and disc artwork are well done and in my opinion I think it's positively the best artwork so far.

There isn't an episode guide or booklet included that mentions what the chapters are entitled. Each chapter starts with a hilarious introduction from the original master of the macabre, the one and only Vincent Price. The picture is really good and in my opinion much better than the first two compilation release's. The Audio is not as strong in this release as I felt I had to play with the volume control way too much. There is also some sound hissing that becomes a bit of a distraction at times but not enough to make me turn it off.

As I've already mentioned the "Librariann's Not-So-Scary -Tales" is the third compilation release and in my opinion it's the absolute best one so far. Once again the one and only Billy Van is absolutely incredible as he portrays one of the shows classic characters the "Librarian" as only he could. The acting from Billy Van is some of the best work I've ever seen from him. The make up crew did an incredible job with Billy's face, his make-up definitely enhances every bit of the character he is portraying making him look and sound so authentic.

Many of the shows other wacky & weird characters make cameos in this installment and they add a little more humor to the overall enjoyment of this DVD. Fans will get to see Gronk & the Count, Dr Pet Vet, the Gorilla, Mini Count & Igor, Super Hippy, Grizelda, the Wolfman & many more. Wow! I didn't think I had this much to say, but just like the "Librarian" I have become weary and must bid you goodbye!

Rumor has it that another H.H.O.F. release is scheduled for Aug 11/09.
