Yacov Rambsel puts forward his conviction that he has discovered coded references to Jesus in virtually every messianic prophecy in the Old Testament, including the names of "Jesus", "the Nazarene", and all of Christ's disciples.

3.0 out of 5 stars His name is Jesus, July 14 2004
This review is from: His Name is Jesus: The Mysterious Hebrew Codes (Paperback)
This is not so much a review as an answer to "thelaha" from Malaysia, concerning the name of the Living God. First, the one true God, El, Al, Allah (whatever title you use) has not made things so difficult as to require a background in languages. The modern scholars have given us enough, though they themselves deny the name, the identity, they still give us what we need to identify the one, true, Living God. His name is YHWH, as seen in the english language and is pronounced just as it is, YH-WH. The son, came in His Father's name, YH-shua. Al, Allah, El, Elohim and the term God are not names but titles. One last thing, not all believers in the Christ, YHshua, teach or believe the false doctrine of the "trinity". One more last thing, followers of Allah are not all united either, considering their doctrines or the interpretation of the Koran. It doesn't take much to see the disunity within the religion of Islam. I follow YaHshua as he has shown the way to freedom from the teachings and false doctrines of men. He has shown me the way to real life and made available to me the Father. I can go boldly before the Father in prayer, not by the command of men, or a man, full of does and don't. No, but by the grace and forgivness. The Father chooses not to see my sins and this makes it possible for me, on a personal level, to talk with the maker of all things, to be able to come before His Holy presence.
I'm looking forward to the coming new world. He is going to do it, not men, not some group, not Islam, not Christian, not Jew, not Budda, not Hindu. The Great Maker of all things will come with His angelic army and put man in his proper place. The Kingdom is not coming by the force and wits of men, no matter how holy, or righteous they try to make themselves. Without the Savior, our Master YaHshua we can do nothing but mess things up. I have read the Koran, And I have read the Book there is no comparison. Judge not the Book by the people. Read about the Master, YaHshua, see for yourself. Close your ears to the voices of men and see with your own eyes and mind the way of true salvation. I pray for you my friend, for I see a fire of excitement, for the one God, in you. You are on the threshold of knowledge that can save, don't stop now, pick up the Book, read the story about the man, the Master, the one that came in the Name. His name is not JESUS, that is a bogus name promoted by evil men of the past. The message, and the way are not hidden, go to the Book, ask, for He wants to give knowledge to those that seek it, and ask for it. Peace to you and anyone that might read this. Sorry for going on so long, but I get a little excited too. Peace in our Master and Lord, YH-shua (YH's Savior)

2.0 out of 5 stars These Hebrew "codes" are subjective., Feb 5 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: His Name Is Jesus (Paperback)
Because Hebrew may be written without vowel points, a single 3-letter word may be translated several ways, depending on the context or pronunciation of the speaker. Yakov Rambsel makes grammatical mistakes, or chooses to translate his "codes" to fit the meaning he prefers. A few examples: He may ignore pronominal endings: "kadshi" on page 54 is "my," not "his" holiness. He calls "dakar" on page 55(4), a verb: "they have pierced," when it is really "he pierced." It could also be the gerund: "piercing." The name Melchizedek on page 213 should be spelled with a tzadi instead of an ayin. "Messiah, Tabernacle" at the bottom of page 124 could easily be translated, "A messiah lived in a tent." Other code phrases could be interpreted with wild variations. Perhaps an objective editor, a truly Hebrew-speaking professor, would be useful to the author. Although his theology may be genuine, his basic Hebrew errors are discrediting.

I recommend this book for anyone who doubts the miraculous nature of the Hebrew text or to share with friends who do. This book gives clear evidence that the Bible is no mere invention of men. The author, a Hebrew rabbi, uses an ancient method called equidistant letter sequencing, or EDL, to find hidden codes in the Hebrew texts. Over and over in texts that prophesy of the coming Messiah, the Hebrew codes speak clearly of Jesus.

An excellent exploration indeed into the depths of the WORD of GOD. This book presents insights into the "bible codes". This book is for the serious people who have considered the depth of GOD's WORD.
Also Check out Yacov's other books " (The Genesis Factor) and (Yeshua: The Name of Jesus Revealed in the Old Testament) by Yavoc Rambsel.
