About The Awful
I was bored on the 9th of Octover 1940 when, I believe, the Nasties were still booming us led by Madolf Heatlump (who only had one). Anyway they didn't get me. I attended to varicous schools in Liddypol. And still didn't pass -- much to my Aunties supplies. As a member of the most publified Beatles my (P, G, and R's) records might seem funnier to some of you than this book, but as far as I'm conceived this correction of short writty is the most wonderfoul larf I've every ready.
God help and breed you all.

5.0 out of 5 stars A (very) Far Out Book Sept. 22 2001
Quite a fascinating read! I couldn't put it down after reading the first story! John's "language" is quite amusing and the pictures are a blast to look at! I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes off-the-wall entertainment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blown Away June 20 2003
By Chris
An absolutely magnificent peice of literature! The use of language is witty and funny and I have never experienced such joy from a collection of short stories before. The ''Is He Deep?'' introduction set the mood of the bok and that question played on mind throughout the entire read. Fantastic

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Funny! June 7 2002
By A Customer
I found this book today at Borders, it was the only copy they had left. It's full of funny, witty little poems and drawings by John Lennon, with a few that were written in partnership with Paul. The plays on words in this book are halarious, and add to the funniness. I reccomend this book to anyone who is a beatles fan. Only problem is, that at some parts the humor may be a little hard to understand, but once you read it a few times and realy think on it, it'll eventually come to you. This book is pretty good. Even though I haven't read it yet, I'm sure I Me Mine by George Harrison is pretty good also, seeing as how he is my favourite Beatle. Anyway, bottom line is: You should buy it if you're a beatles fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars John Lennon in His Own Write Dec 13 2000
I had this book when it first came out, being an avowed Beatle-maniac. His creativity inspired me to pursue writing as a career. John has his own language which will endure. The world lost his creative genius, but his words and drawings live on. A must buy for Lennon-philes everywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun! Jan. 3 2001
Anything written by John Lennon is worth having - he was a gem. This is funny and caustic and enlightening, and will adorn any book shelf. I can also highly recommend "A Spaniard In the Works", which is my personal favourite, but hey, why not have both?
