exciting military romance, Mar 15 2010
By Harriet Klausner - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: His Woman in Command (Mass Market Paperback)
In what passes for an Officer's Club on the Afghan-Pakistani border, Special Forces Captain Gavin Jackson notices the beautiful woman enter the tent. He learns Captain Nike Alexander is an Air Force Black Jaguar Squadron pilot who takes her career seriously and as such has no time for men in her life.
Whereas Gavin leads a ten person unit battling the Taliban, Nike is part of a team working a drug runner assignment. Nike is attracted to the handsome captain, but conceals from him how she feels. He wants her and does not hide his desire from her, but also remembers what happened to his last fling with a woman in uniform. When Nike ends up in a precarious situation, Gavin like the Calvary charges to the rescue
The Black Jaguar Squadron military romance is an enjoyable timely tale of love in the theater of operations. The story line takes a bit to provide the reader with the setting, but once done, the plot moves faster than the planes Nike flies. Fans will admire the courage of the lead couple and several support players as Gavin and Nike work their assignments while falling in love. Lindsay McKenna is at her very best and it shows in this outstanding romantic suspense

Heartfelt, pulse-pounding, and ripped from the headlines, Mar 26 2010

I've read a lot of Lindsay McKenna's books and this will definitely go on my keeper shelf. The hero is a to-die-for military hero with a true beta side mixed with undeniable alpha. As with all of Lindsay's heroines, the heroine in this book has tremendous heart and courage. A very enjoyable novel for anyone who likes military romances.

Totally Hot and Gripping, May 9 2010

I just finished reading this novel and adored it. I could not put it down because Lindsay writes such modern realistic novels and the whole story gave me a better understanding of the war in Afghanistan and the progress by American soldiers. The whole story was gripping and I found it hard to put the book down.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT.
