This is a easy read, better then Usbourne.

The illusrations are great and covers important figures,

Grandsons Love It! Dec 30 2012

This book is one of a set of four history books. Ancient Rome had been given to my eleven year old a couple of years ago and he thoroughly enjoyed reading it. When my eight year old also loved to read the book, I wanted to order the other three. I discovered they were out of print but I was able to find the three used from Amazon. All three came in like-new condition. They are a fun way to learn about history.
Very engaging for little history buffs March 9 2011

My 8 year old son is very interested in all things Egyptian. We both found this to be a very well done book, the perfect level for a 2nd grader. There is a bonus story at the end that gives clues and lets you solve a mystery. This was a huge hit!!
