Variable-Speed Motor with Integrated Soft-Start
The M12V2's powerful 15 Amp motor produces top-of-class cutting speed to rout through hardwoods with ease. The motor also features soft-start technology, producing 3/4 peak horsepower while reducing torque during startup.

Equipped with an electronic variable-speed dial, the M12V2 produces 8,000 to 22,000 RPM, so you can tackle a wide range of cutting applications in a wide range of materials. The variable-speed dial is conveniently located on the handle so you can finely adjust the rotation speed without taking your hands or eyes off your workpiece.

Easily Customizable Router Meets All Your Needs
The M12V2 has many features that are customizable to your needs. To start, a unique quick and fine adjustment knob combines both functionalities into the same mechanism, so you can quickly and accurately dial the right plunge depths for the job.

Additionally, the router easily converts to table use for larger projects--the collet chuck protrudes 6mm from the upper side of the table for easy bit changes. For further flexibility on the job, 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch collets are included with the router. The collet chuck secures bits into the armature shaft for maximum hold during operation.

Ergonomically Designed for Comfort and Control
Like all Hitachi tools, the M12V2 is ergonomically designed to enhance comfort and control on the job. For beginners, this tool weighs only 13.9 pounds, making it safe and stable enough for freehand routing.
