I found this book to be very helpful and used it quite a bit during my first season as a coach for 5 v 5 team. The formations and tactics area while not comprehensive did provide a good starting point and proved effective. I wish there was a companion DVD to help illustrate the tactics but the old chalk board version worked regardless. I recommend this book for anyone interested in futsal or small sided outdoor football (soccer).

Good futsal book with some excellent insights (like where are futsal goals scored from by percentage). Worthwhile book for someone relatively new to coaching futsal.

I have coached soccer for years but am new to futsal.I was wondering about strategy, specifically what team formations to use, how to run an offensive attack, and principles of defense.
This book answered my questions and explained how to implement all of the common futsal formations.
The book also has good ideas for restart plays, and games you can play for practice to reinforce the team tactics.
