Product Description

From Amazon.com

Celebrities: Caught on Camera is a celebrity's worst nightmare. Armed with a video camcorder and a single, blinding light, the makers of this videotape troll places where they are likely to catch bleary, irritated celebrities looking and sometimes acting their worst.

The majority of the footage is shot in true paparazzi fashion in places like health clubs, on the streets, and in airports. Does anyone, famous or not, really want a camera shoved in their face after 10 hours on an airplane? One can hardly blame the subjects of this video for being annoyed. You may even find yourself cheering a bit for Tommy Lee when he takes a slug at a particularly vile cameraman after a night on the town.

The sight of movie stars hiding their faces and yelling at the cameraperson will soon grow tedious to even the most die-hard Pamela Anderson or Leonardo DiCaprio fan. Celebrities: Caught on Camera crosses the line between public personas and private life repeatedly, though uninterestingly, in what amounts to the video equivalent of the National Enquirer. --Michelle Riggen

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so hot., Feb 24 2002
This review is from: Playboy:Celebrities (DVD)
What they have done for each "celebrity" is they start out with a bunch of still shots for around 20 seconds, and then they flash to a vignette lasting around 5-6 minutes. There is only one per girl.

My main problem is not their format, but the fact they had several better looking celebrities they have either made/photographed that were ignored (like Kelly Monaco) in place are ones like Jessica Hahn (who is famous only for sleeping with the now defunct ptl club chief Jim Baker <I think thats his name its been years>). Monaco would have been an excellent looking girl instead of (compared to some of the others) a rather plain to above average Hahn and the positively stupid vignette they shot her in. Not enough five star caliber girls/celebrities (that playboy HAS in their vault) for the price. Pam Andersons vignette was lame too, almost as bad as her feature DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Celebrities: Caught on Camera, May 15 2000
By

I enjoyed this film. After celebrities spend all that time working towords fame, why should they be surprised that people are interested in their lives. Seeing how some celebrities treat photographers was a surprise considering if the celebrities did not have fans interested in the photos, their lively hood would not exist.
