Homoeopathy for the First Aider, July 19 2000

This review is from: Homoeopathy for the First Aider (Paperback)
This is a "must have" book on classical homoeopathy for anyone studying the subject. The very first book I purchased on homoeopathy. First written in 1945, Dr. Dorothy Shepherd, tells of her experiences during W.W.I with surgery, and in her own practice and how she had used homoeopathic remedies. She covers first aid treatment of such topics as treatment of wounds, hemorrhage, burns, scalds, aches and pains. She also discusses potency and give specific "rules" for giving a remedy. She has written several other wonderfully informative books, however, this one I consider a must have.

Arnica for Stroke helped my friend, Mar 22 2010
By Linda J. Schiller-hanna "Blessed one" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Homoeopathy for the First Aider (Paperback)
It just happened that I'd been reading the first chapter of this book which mentioned
arnica for stroke when my dear friend ended up in the hospital with one. I took him the
arnica (it was found in the bedding) and there was a bit of a hassle...so I faxed the
proper pages (9/10) to the doctor and it was allowed and approved. The good news, my
friend recovered beautifully.
This alone was worth the small price of this book.
Even if you are not a student of homeopathy (it will get you excited)...the book is
excellent and helpful.
I've turned to it many times.
Highly recommended!

Homepathy 101, Aug 25 2009

A very complete book written at a time when antibiotics were not the norm. I appreciate the candor, the openness and frankness the author uses -- also some of the language is amusing. I appreciate what this female Dr. had to go through during a time in history that was very tough, and all the case histories she gathered to make this book outstanding. Much insite gained. Good reference.
