3.0 out of 5 stars Shoplifting "facts" by Cupchik appear questionable., April 1 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Why honest people shoplift or commit other acts of theft: Assessment and treatment of 'atypical theft offenders' : an educational resource for professionals (Hardcover)
Fair book with very large font. Cupchik makes some generalizations that are questionable. Most of his writing is based on two studies that he has authored with a very limited sample, and these are slammed into a strong psychoanalytic theory for discussion. Although the text is thought provoking, more validation is needed to test his conclusions. Overall, fair book.
