honeymoon/hotshot March 26 2011
By Delia Grace - Published on Amazon.com

The book I read had both Honeymoon and Hotshot together. Both were excellent in plot and the humor is refreshing. A girl named Honey with a last name of Moon starts off with a smile from me. (Cute)
I enjoyed Hotshot. Right away Ms. Phillips makes you root for the poor child and good things happen to her throughout. Getting the name, Hotshot, was like tonue-in-cheek humor. But, the mousey, good girl who tried so hard to be her best grew into that name. I really like reading Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books.
different from more recent SEP, dark but beautiful Dec 11 2009

There is something great but different about these two books than the more recent Susan Elizabeth Phillips books (e.g. Match Me if You Can, Natural-Born Charmer). They are darker... with so much tragedy and sadness in them... but such lovely female characters and slow-developing romances... not much of the humor I love in her more recent writing, but they're actually maybe more chic-lit because of the progress of the strong female characters in them.
Enjoyable write and book. April 15 2014

I enjoy all of Susan Elizabeth Phillips books. Many have the same characters so it is advisable (but not necessary) to read them in chronological order.

These are quick and easy reads when you're in the mood for a change from serious literature. Interesting characters and plenty of humor.
