honeymoon/hotshot March 26 2011
By Delia Grace - Published on

The book I read had both Honeymoon and Hotshot together. Both were excellent in plot and the humor is refreshing. A girl named Honey with a last name of Moon starts off with a smile from me. (Cute)
I enjoyed Hotshot. Right away Ms. Phillips makes you root for the poor child and good things happen to her throughout. Getting the name, Hotshot, was like tonue-in-cheek humor. But, the mousey, good girl who tried so hard to be her best grew into that name. I really like reading Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books.
different from more recent SEP, dark but beautiful Dec 11 2009

There is something great but different about these two books than the more recent Susan Elizabeth Phillips books (e.g. Match Me if You Can, Natural-Born Charmer). They are darker... with so much tragedy and sadness in them... but such lovely female characters and slow-developing romances... not much of the humor I love in her more recent writing, but they're actually maybe more chic-lit because of the progress of the strong female characters in them.
Awesome combo! Oct. 7 2009

Ha! when I bought this 2-in 1 book combo, I didn't know what to expect as I had never read any of SEP's novels. What a way to introduce myself to her novels! I absolutely loved (and still do) both novels. They were completely different stories yet both were wonderful. I would recommend both books, such great read.
Fun Read Oct. 27 2009

This was a fun read. Of course, if it were a movie, it would be a chick flick. Both stories were well written and the plots were quite disparate so they were both enjoyable and had me cheering for the good guys.
Susan Elizabeth Phillips has done it again. Nov. 25 2013

I love Susan Elizabeth Philllip's romantic novels. It's enjoyable, light reading perfect for curling up with on either a wintry night or relaxing in the sun on a summer day.
