5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect choice! May 19 2013

These filters are exactly what you need (together with the Protec Continuous Cleaning cartridge) to operate your Honeywell HCM 750 Cool Mist Humidifier in an optimum fashion. Make sure you soak the filters for at least 20 minutes each time you are using them if they are completely dry. And place them so that the blue side is facing up! They (and your humidifier) will last a long time if you care for these products properly.

What can you say about a filter? It works good. Other than that I am just writing words here to fill in enough to get this accepted.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad product... May 9 2013

I don't usually ever write terrible reviews...I usually return a product if it's defective and then after a few months review the functioning product properly.
Having said that, I am surprised this has not gotten more terrible reviews. I bought these filters December 1st 2012, over 5 months ago; I stopped using them about 2 months in when I noticed my humidifier was taking AGES longer to empty itself.
You know what that means right? When a humidifier takes ages to empty? It means the water is not going into the air, keeping your room dry, your throat dry, your sleep uncomfortable and your mornings agitating...

Having finally clued into the fact that the air seemed nearly as dry as when the humidifier was off, I realized the filters were almost exactly HALF the thickness of the originals! So I go and waste MORE money on a competitors cut-it-yourself filter, (which was double the thickness) cut it up, put it in, and voila, problem solved. The humidifier now empties itself at a MUCH faster rate once again, and I can sleep without waking up to a terribly dry throat.

So I contact Honeywell and explained the issue in GREAT detail, only to be asked to send my humidifier back...I reply dumbfounded since I thought it was obvious that the problem was the filters just can't hold enough water to be evaporated since they are so thin, and they just claim they never heard of that before and it should work fine.
I just gave up right there, they were not interested in the least to help me out properly in 3 emails so that's all I had the patience for. Don't want my money? No problem, word of mouth from a ticked off customer goes a long way.
