A gem April 18 2011
By John C - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
As Viva Voce's debut album, released in 1998, the band entered the music scene with a strong and coherent contribution. The style of this album is unlike anything they produced afterward: soft female, melodic vocals on top of a sea of powerful, driving guitar and drums. It's a pure delight all the way from the first song to the last, and you'll find yourself listening to the album again and again. Though unknown to the mainstream music listener, this album is a gem.

One of my absolute favorites. Sept. 26 2013
By K. Holle - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is a very hard to find album because the sub-label folded (when I got it signed I was told so by the band itself) and I was fortunate enough to grab one before they disappeared into the ether. While it's different from everything that would later come from the indie darlings, this dichotomous, never obnoxious Christian-themed pairing of fuzzy, ripping guitars and lilting vocals has become one of my absolute favorite albums of all time. (If they'd stayed in the scene, maybe they could have helped Five Iron Frenzy lift it from its ghetto. Instead we just got one great little anomaly)

Top Fuel Indie Pop April 20 2004

These guys ROCK! This album is a must have for music lovers. The guitar work of Anita Robinson is pure genius.
Catch them LIVE if you can. [...] for tour dates.
