I like that it takes up less floor space in the closet than my (very) old Panasonic canister vacuum. I like that it rolls on wheels because it's not featherweight by any means, although I can pick it up okay. (I'm a very fit 73 but don't seem to have the strength in my hands that I once did.)
It cleans my carpets better than the old one, but I'm finding it a bit tiring to push, due, I think, to the great suction even on lower settings, which means it really grabs the rugs - which is a bit of a problem with scatter mats because they bunch up and cause a ruckus. I'll have to figure out a way around that. I haven't got around to testing out the attachments yet because I've always used a whisk, a duster or a damp cloth for most of my other dust removal. I like that there's a place to park every little item on the machine itself, even a hook to keep the electric cord out of your way while vacuuming.
I should explain that my floors are hardwood and I use a Swiffer type of duster for that, and only need something to take care of the rather large area rug, a hall runner, and some scatter mats. I must say I've never seen the area rug looking spiffier, so I'm happy to have this machine, and the price was certainly right.
