Product Description

This is Rabbitt's rockabilly release. "I Love a Rainy Night" and "Drivin' My Life Away" set the pace for side one: Sun-inspired, guitar-based productions, heavy on the echo. Side two is a bit ballad-heavy, though most of the tracks stand up well individually. "That's Just the Way It Is" is something of a forerunner for "Someone Could Lose a Heart Tonight." ~ Tom Roland, All Music Guide

On CD Jan. 6 2013

To the buyer below, as far as I know, the album Step by Step was issued on CD, but only in 1982! There was also a 1981 (yes, 1981) German "triangle" pressing on CD used to demo Philips CD technology. I have Step by Step on CD on the Elektra label.

I have never seen a "West German" CD of Horizon, though I wonder if one was made, many of Warner's early albums were "label internal only" 50 copy or less archival pressings used for international record pressings.

I had forgotten, but there's also a Liberty records CD of "Step by Step" that has a different cover but the same tracks, that was made around 1990. That may be the more reasonably priced album if you are looking for a CD of it!

I have been looking for this album since I was a teen. Have it on vinyl from the early 80's when it first came out. It is still my all time favorite album. Thank you for having it available.
the two monster songs July 9 2013

First off I got to say that this is not as good an album as I thought it would be. With the two songs I Love A Rainy Night and Drivin' My Life Away I thought it was going to be better. It is still good. Eddie Rabbitt was on a roll at this point in his career and would stay on it for awhile. I did some research and Eddie Rabbitt was never nominated by the CMA for male vocalist. He ruled the '80s and those were the two songs that took him to that level. My other favorite song on here is 747. Nothing else really stands out. But a good cd.

Eddie rabbitt is a very talanted writer and musician. Horizon is one of my favorite cd's by him. The words and lyrics are extremely well done.

Just Awesome! May 9 2009

The only 2 records that I owned as a child that have not been remade into a CD were Horizon and Step by Step. Over 600 CD's. I even recorded the original LP's into a minidisc, however, no way to play on my mp3 player or in my car. Well, thanks to someone that made these into MP3's I want to say thank you for finally making them MP3's. I really thought about sending them off to have them digitally converted over the years, but a studio wanted over $100 to do this.
