I purchased this book to add to my knowledge of nutrition, feed options and how various types of feed would affect my horses health. Unfortunately this book was a big dissapointment and has landed on a back shelf where it will most likely stay. This might be helpfull for someone who knows nothing about feeding horses but I would suggest looking elsewhere.

By Don Williams - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Horse Health & Nutrition For Dummies (Paperback)
Owning a horse is not like owning a dog and cat. They are much more complicated animals. Fortunately for new owners (and older owners who haven't yet educated themselves), Horse Health & Nutrition for Dummies is there for you. It covers the basics, while delving into more in-depth issues when it comes to taking care of your valued companion.Great job.

I have read much better books for dummies. Here the answer to many interesting questions is always the same. if this and this occurs: call the veterinarian...OK, basically that is probably the best thing to do. But why writing this a 100 times? The book could be shortened to 50 pages without loosing anything. Sorry, was not happy, this book really is for dummies.
