About the Author

Kate Calder has been a writer and editor at Crabtree Publishing Company since 1998. Her curious nature and love of learning led her to a career in educational publishing. Kate is co-author of several books including The USA from A-Z, The Life of a Miner, and Figure Skating in Action. She completed her B.A in English at the University of Guelph. She also has a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from Humber College in Toronto.
