An excellent book. It was packed with suspense from beginning toend. "Hot Blooded" made me an instant fan of Ms. Jackson, keep up the good work. Just ordered "Cold Blooded", can't wait to read it.

After reading the other reviews for this book, I did wonder if I read the same book as the other reviewers. I tried to get into the story, but by the midway point, it felt as though things weren't progressing at all. The characters seemed stuck in a time warp, one where time is stretched like Silly Putty and everything seems distorted and out of sync with reality.I didn't mind so much that so many of the characters had a voice within the story, but that their individual plots jarred with one another and made it feel as though the story had too many plot bunnies, or worse yet, were quickly headed toward "hey, what a coincidence" territory. I also dislike when the writer withholds information that there is absolutely no believable reason the characters wouldn't divulge that information in internal dialogue. Sort of defeats the purpose of giving that many characters a voice. By the midway point, I was tired of waiting for the story to progress, tired of Jackson's flat use of description, that I just read the last 4 pages and called it done. As it turned out, despite the coyness of the characters withholding information, there really were no surprises.

I just finished this book and I had to go on line to say how good it was. It was the first book I read by this author but it won't be the last. I have Cold Blooded and I intend to start reading it tonight. I highly recommend this book to lovers of romantic suspense. You will not be disappointed. Pam
