Product Description

Trooper's 12-song greatest-hits collection is like the soundtrack to a long, hot '70s summer. Nostalgia makes songs like "Baby Woncha Please Come Home," "We're Here for a Good Time," "Oh Pretty Lady," and their signature tune, "Raise a Little Hell," sound fresh despite their shelf dates, and the straightforward performances hold up surprisingly well. From "The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car" to the piano-driven ballad "Moment that it Takes," these songs have a good-time feel. --Adem Tepedelen

5.0 out of 5 stars Old Time Rock n Roll! Nov. 1 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Hot Shots! is a compilation of some of the best old fashioned and to-the-point rock music ever to come out of Canada. Like Bryan Adams and Loverboy, Trooper music didn't add anything new to the music industry but that was not the idea. With songs like We're Here for a good time and Raise a little hell, Trooper have demonstrated that rock music should be about fun and this album very much epitomizes that old time rock n roll sound. No pretentiousness, no BS, just good music. Highly recommended. Other Trooper albums worth listening to are: Flying Colours & The Last of the Gypsies.

4.0 out of 5 stars These Guys Bring Back The Memories Sept. 13 2006
Format:Audio CD
While growing up in Rossland, B.C., there was always a few things you could count on; drinking beer on the weekends, fighting at Silver City Days, very long winters and going to a Trooper concert in Trail every spring. These guys went from hard rockers to a type of bubblegum pop that was amazingly still quite good. This album give a good overview of their most productive time but to really enjoy these guys somehow get your hands on their first album as it is fantastic.

This is the best "Greatest Hits" album, bar none! It doesn't matter if you're 50 years old or 5 years old, these songs are excellent. You can actually hear the guys having a ball singing them. This is a must for cruising and summer parties!

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome classic album April 15 2003
Format:Audio CD
This album brings back fond memories of my high school days. Who could forget The Boys in the bright white sports car? All of the girls wanted a boy in a white car when that album came out. They were H.O.T.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper version of a great album Feb. 2 2014
By Rhonda
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This album has a very low gain / volume. So, when it's played in the cd player with other albums it's volume is much much lower than the others (I played it with 3 other albums and all of the others were much louder. The album cover has this tacky "Compact Disc" label on the front that is not a sticker - but part of the cover so you can't remove it. The sleeve has nothing on it - this is like a burned cd or knock off - the quality of the cd is poor and the album cover is tacky with the "compact disc compact price". Although I only paid $8 for the cd I would rather have paid more for a better quality cd.

July 1st Trooper came to Kanata, Ottawa and they were amazing so decided I should have some of their music in the house. Played it quite a few times while out in the back yard and excellent music!!!!
