I use them to walk the dog for just a few minutes at a time. I put them in a ziploc sandwich bag after and re-use them many times. Great price. Timely delivery.

I had never tried these warmers, not any other brand. I was quite amazed how they worked, actually created allot of heat, at a few points. In extreme cold expect to use 4 at a time, two per pocket or per hand. But definitely help old tired hands like mine. I will purchase again, unless someone has a better solution.

These take a while to heat up ( about 15 minutes to 1/2 hr) but stay hot for hours. I put them in my gloves or just hold on to it until my hands warm up again. I made a little doggy blanket that I can put 12 of these in for our Chihuahua when we camp. She hasn't got much fur and gets very cold, very fast. I guess being Mexican, she is used to a warmer climate. Anyway, this works awesome for the little furry beast. She stays arm all night...well until I steal the blanket from her. lol I want to make a vest or buy a fishing vest with lots of pockets to put these in.

If you use one for a short period of time and don't want to wast it, you can put it in a zip lock bag and it will preserve the rest of the energy until you open the bag. They only work when air gets to them. They don't need a lot of air, but when in a zip lock bag, there is no air so they deactivate until you take it out.

Overall, I would say that this is a great product. I've read other reviews that state that they don't get hot enough, but I find that once they heat up to the maximum temperature, they are pretty warm, sometimes almost too warm on the bare skin. Please note that besides having a "warm up" time, there is also a "cool down" time. So the total heat time is about 10 hours, but they have a best peak temperature usage of about 6 to 7 hours.

I have been buying "Grabbers" hand warmers for several years. I always found them an expensive way to keep my hands warm for several hours in the frozen north we live in. I could only find them in small package quantities, at most 20 pairs. I thought I would try these HotHands to see if they were at least close to the performance of the Grabbers. The HotHands have been a pleasant surprise. They feel lighter in my mitten, and most importantly, they don't blast out the heat all at once, and burn my hands, like the Grabbers did. The HotHands have a slower heat release so they can be kept against my hands without any concern for overheating. BTW- I use these warmers everyday after about November 1 until April. I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome.

Pros:
- Easy way to keep warm
- Use them anywhere you need more heat
- Economical 40 pair pack
Cons:
- none!
I initially purchased this box before leaving with my family on a ski trip. I have previously used similar warmers, and decided that it was far more economical to buy this package. I primarily use these in my boots, but they are great in gloves, or anywhere you need them; just put one in each boot, or glove and they will last you a full day. Since buying these, I have started carrying some around in my coat pocket. If I am ever outside for an extended period of time, I can open one up and put it in my inner coat pocket. If you have cold feet when stepping outside in the winter, give this product a try.

Hubby and I can't believe how nice and toasty these warmers are. Hubby has Reynauds and white fingers aren't good. These warmers are not overly hot, they are just a really nice warm that does the trick and just keeps on working the whole time plowing snow and then some.

Hubby held one in his hand for a short while to start up the warming and then got on his coat, hat, gloves etc and put the warmer inside glove. By this time the Hot Hands Warmer was already warmed up and ready to face the extremely cold weather we have been having.

No white fingers at all. We were both surprised. Great price here on Amazon.ca and with 40 pairs they are going to last a good long time.

Works as advertised. Great source of heat for hours and hours. Fits anywhere. However, for those with Raynaud's syndrome like myself, your finger tips may still get cold despite the rest of your hand being pretty warm. Good product and affordable.
