After following this show since the beginning, I had only caught a few of the 8th season episodes on TV, so I was eager to watch this set to see how it ended and what happens to the characters. I would have liked clarification on the Lisa Cuddy character - where did she go? But I loved the final episode.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys intelligent, well-written shows (my new favourite show is "Blacklist"!)

Even though the ultimate ending is a direct reference to Sherlock Holmes, I was left with a sense of disappointment. Because, let's face it: The best part of the House MD series ends after season 6 (the very best peaking with the mental institution episode). The last two seasons have been, to say the least, bittersweet. For one, Season 8 brings new characters in Team House, but... Is it because we got so attached to the old ones? Or because one season is not enough to build up a story line around secondary characters? Bottom line is: we simply didn't care much for them. Even though Season 8 shows some great acting by Robert Sean Leonard in his role as Wilson (as Season 7 did for Lisa Edelstein as Cuddy), the way that House behaves in the last two seasons doesn't agree with his wits and intelligence. How could a cynical character, who favors deduction above everything, end up acting like a child who's world doesn't evolve around him anymore? I am still convinced that the writers could have turned things over with more subtlety. Overall, it was a very good series with a great lead actor, but the story arc in the last two seasons could have been better developed.

I purchased all of the first 7 season of House from a physical store instead of the last one (Can't wait for the price to drop). The package of this one was not the same the ones in my collection. That's probably the only down side with it.

However, House has always been my favorite TV shows and I have thoroughly enjoyed the last season from beginning to end. CheerS!

DVD quality is good but I would have liked a more organized disc set up inside the case. It's got disc 2 and disc 1 on top of each other which I don't like and it opens up. Should have just stayed with the design the other disc sets had.

Although sad to see this remarkable series end I was happy to see the writers stay true to the characters! A fine way to sign off after eight fantastic seasons!

Have always enjoyed Hugh Laurie!!
He made the series what it was as far as I'm concerned!
Not that the rest of the cast wasn't good.
