About the Author

I have many of these dinosaur books that I bought for my grandsons. They love them, especially the four year old. I am also a preschool teacher and have read them in the classroom. What four year old doesn't love dinosaurs!

I bought this for my son who LOVES dinosaurs. He already has several books from this series. I like how the dinosaurs names are by their pictures in the story. It makes answering what kind of dino they are a lot easier,lol. This book was good, and the series is great. I would recomend it for any child who loves dinosaurs.

A wonderful book for any dino-lover, and even more special because the author decided to use the pronoun "she" in this book. As a child *obsessed* with dinosaurs, and now a mom to a nearly two-year-old daughter who also enjoys playing and learning about dinosaurs, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book decided to not only include, but warmly invite girls into the dino genre.

As to the reviewers who somehow feel that their sons' masculinity is being threatened by this... are you serious?! How very sad for the boys being raised by mothers who feel their sons' sense of self is so fragile that a simple pronoun change can and will endanger everything their gender identifies with. These are likely the same mothers/parents who would ridicule and belittle young boys who might play with dolls, or engage in role-playing activities involving dressing up. Girls have every right to enjoy dinosaurs, and authors of dinosaur books for children have every right to include BOTH boys and girls in their stories.
