5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful Mar 3 2013

Chapters two and three were especially helpful in plainly explaining how DJing works, particularly on turntables with vinyl. Yes, of course you need to practice (a lot) but if you have no one to learn from at first this book is a well-written tool that will guide you on your way.

The book was OK. To be honest though I did not get much out of it. If you really want to learn to DJ a book is not the answer. You need to practice with your own hands. If you want a DJ book check out "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life." A much better book.
