4.0 out of 5 stars many TiVo uses, Jan 21 2005
By W Boudville - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: How to Do Everything with Your TiVo (Paperback)
You should find this an easy read, in learning how to effectively use your TiVo. The company has spent a lot of time in trying to make the user experience as simple as possible.

Carter gives hardware tips as to various accessory items you might want to hook up your TiVo to. Plus, you can find out how to use various listings offered by third parties. Notably AOL, which offers a neat Remote Scheduling of its TV listings. Talk about convenient.

For those of you with DVD players, and especially recorders, sections of the book describe how you can hook these up to the TiVo and get everything working with each other. And remembering that a TiVo is a special type of personal computer, you get instructions on how to upgrade its disk. Very good for the heavy user.

5.0 out of 5 stars thank goodness for this guide, Nov 7 2005
By Frank Crane "Frank Crane" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: How to Do Everything with Your TiVo (Paperback)
Well written and detailed book. This text enabled me to easily upgrade my TiVo's disk, something my box's manual didn't go into in enough dept and simplicity.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok not great only thing I really use is the commercial skip code, April 24 2007
By Brian Krinsky "iostream1" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: How to Do Everything with Your TiVo (Paperback)
Ok not great only thing I really use is the commercial skip code which you can find online anyway. If you know nothing about Tivo then this can be a handy reference but if you are more advanced then you can find more and better info on the web with a Google search. And if your that advanced you're probably not reading this review anyway. ;-)
